4th grade students have been learning about the relationship between the speed of an object and the amount of energy it has available to transfer to another object.

5th grade students participated in their "Class Store" today. Students earn classroom money throughout the school year by completing weekly assigned jobs. Each marking period, 5th graders have the opportunity to become vendors and shoppers. They may set up a shop of small (parent-approved) items to sell for classroom money. Many of our students create the items that they sell! Students are also able to shop using earned classroom money. Through this experience, students learn to adjust pricing based on market trends, make change when needed, budget their money to prioritize for the items they want most, save money for larger expenses, and learn how to interact with others in a business setting. Plus it's a lot of fun!

In Mr. Cervini's music class, the 4th grade students worked together to write a book about composers that we have studied this year. Students created the text with a theme of "around the world and on the beach" , and even illustrated the pages with creative and fun artwork. It was a great way to end March is Reading Month!

These are the student illustrations that they created in small groups to represent their composers and what they might be doing on the beach.

Still time to get your tickets
