Our 2nd Grader's just gained a wonderful new teacher! Meet Anne Fitzpatrick!
What inspired you to become a teacher, and what do you hope to achieve in this profession?
I had a chance to watch a family member work with a speech pathologist in high school. I was intrigued with the way she was able to teach him. I decided that I wanted to be involved in education somehow. As a senior in high school I was a teacher's aide. The first graders that I saw for an hour a day captured my heart and I decided that teaching was my calling.

Teaching has been my passion for as long as I can remember. From being a dance teacher to tutoring and nannying, I’ve always enjoyed working with children. There’s something magical about connecting with kids and watching them learn and grow. As a teacher, my goal is to instill a love of learning in my students and help them not only succeed in school but develop the skills they’ll need to thrive in life.
What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of teaching?
In my free time, I love riding my bike, weightlifting, and couponing. I also love spending time with my fiancé Evan, our cat Oliver, and catching up with friends and family.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of teaching?
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. We love being outdoors together and often go hunting, camping, and snowmobiling. We enjoy watching football, cheering on the Lions and Michigan Wolverines!

I’m excited to continue serving as the PTO President, where I can help create engaging opportunities for our students and support staff throughout the year. I look forward to collaborating with families and educators to make a positive impact on our school community.
